The development of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) in Centrepoint – Our journey so far
A Talk by Dr Helen Miles and Catherine Geddes
About this Talk
This session will outline Centrepoint’s journey to develop a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) over the past year, including a brief outline of a PIE (e.g. our Psychological Framework, staff training, reflective practice, the physical environment and research / evaluation), how we have approached it, the challenges in our post COVID world and how we have adapted, and the importance of co-producing this with those who both work within and use our services.
The session will consist of a brief presentation by the PIE Lead at Centrepoint, as well as some young people who have been central to the development of our PIE so far, following which attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences of a PIE approach within their organisation, and learn from others implementing PIE or other similar psychologically informed approaches to support and housing.
Please note: This is a workshop session and therefore attendee audio and video will be available. We ask you to mute yourselves during the main presentation, and unmute for the breakout group periods within the session where you can share your thoughts and experience with other attendees.
