



Opening plenary: Keeping young people safe

About this Talk
Putting young people at the heart of what we do, Centrepoint’s National Youth Homelessness Conference will be chaired by young people who have experienced homelessness.
The opening session led by Jade will feature an initial address from Centrepoint’s CEO Seyi Obakin and also a message from Will Quince MP, the Government Minister responsible for welfare delivery. The Minister will discuss the Government’s support for disadvantaged groups, including those facing homelessness. He has committed to increasing the rate of Local Housing Allowance for homeless young people in response to Centrepoint’s Chance To Move On campaign. Following on , Thangam Debbonaire MP and Shadow Housing Secretary will discuss Labour’s priorities for preventing youth homelessness.
