About this speaker
As Education Manager at charity ‘Herts Young Homeless’ Laura have seen first-hand that good quality PSHE education empowers young people to make informed life choices. Laura and her team have educated over 60,000 young people in Hertfordshire over the last 11 years. In her previous youth and social work roles supporting vulnerable young people, such as the young homeless and care leavers, Laura has seen the impact of housing crisis and the long-term consequences. Laura has worked as a family mediator; with many families experiencing complete breakdown in communication, often struggling with the same issues such as anger management, stating ‘but I’ve never been taught how to manage my anger’.
