About this speaker
Anna has worked with St Basils, a leading youth homelessness agency based in the West Midlands, for over 10 years, including most recently a 2 year secondment as a senior adviser in the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Directorate of the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Her role is to work across England to prevent youth homelessness through helping local authorities and their partners improve their services to vulnerable young people using the ‘Positive Pathway’ model that St Basils has developed. Her other work at the moment includes undertaking service reviews, training and writing local and national reports on policy and practice issues.
Previously Anna has worked in a local authority setting, where she developed and managed an award winning multi agency service for young people, including teenagers in and leaving care and young people who were homeless. She was also a Head of Service with corporate responsibility for equalities, cohesion, asylum and refugee services, partnerships and the voluntary sector. Anna also worked in the voluntary sector, including setting up and managing a children’s rights service with Save the Children Fund.
